Chip Keating: "I’m all for immigrants coming to the United States."
During his 2006 run for State House, Keating publicly endorsed federal immigration reform and stated, “I’m all for immigrants coming to the United States. I’m for doing it legally.” This put him in line with his father, former Governor Frank Keating, who in 2014 joined Disney CEO Bob Iger, Rupert Murdoch, and former Obama official Julián Castro in publicly pushing Oklahoma’s congressional delegation to pass comprehensive immigration reform — the same reform package conservatives fought against as amnesty.
